Sales & Product Management Represent the Association and build relationships with credit union.
Maximize the value and relevance of the Association to member credit unions by delivering best-in-market business solutions to credit unions.  Prepare and execute annual sales and marketing plans and ensure business partnerships are providing the best solutions to credit unions at the most competitive prices available in the market.
Region: Maryland

Position Description: 

Sales & Product Management

  • Represent the Association and build relationships with credit union CEOs and management staff through credit union appointments, phone calls, presentations and events.
  • Actively promote affiliation to the Association by delivering unrivalled value of products and services and promoting all benefits of Association membership.
  • Plan, manage, and achieve approved revenue, expense, and profitability objectives of the business solutions unit.
  • Represent the interests of credit unions, assuring that the value and relevance for credit unions are the topmost priority, on par with CUSI’s bottom line.
  • Develop, implement, and improve process and procedures to increase the productivity, relevance, and value of the CUSI unit. 

 Business Partner Management

  • Manage business partner sales relationships, delivering CUSI products and services to respond to members needs and meet revenue targets.
  • Implement annual sales and marketing plans for CUSI products and services.
  • Consult with the Strategic Innovation & Planning and Membership, Communications & Marketing departments to ensure marketing support of CUSI products and services per agreed marketing plans.
  • Consult with credit unions and other state Association service corporations to ensure value and competitiveness of CUSI’s negotiated business partner contracts and collaborate on new initiatives.
  • Develop plans, train sales and support staff, and monitor sales to assure that annual budget and strategic benchmarks are met.       

Member Relations & Association Engagement with Members

  • Assure maximum affiliation including retention of existing members and affiliation of non-members. 
  • Assure one-on-one staff engagement with each and every member credit union.

Program & Associate Management

  • Continuously gather information on competition and prevalent industry and business climate to regularly assess relative value of CUSI to member credit unions.
  • Ensure CUSI is meeting the needs of member credit unions by evaluating improvement initiatives and member engagement scores.
  • Perform workflow analysis and implement methods to improve the efficiency of the unit and responsiveness to member credit unions.
  • Evaluate segmentation of markets for each product line, analyze ROI, and recommend proper allocation of resources.
  • Select, train, develop, and evaluate department staff in a manner necessary to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to employees and cultivate a motivated environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales Management, and Marketing or related field or   equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Senior/Executive Sales Management position.
