Business Development Manager

This outside sales position develops and maintains business partnerships with NGOs, nonprofits, and PAHO partners within the global health community. The primary objective is to expand our reach into this area by adding new partnerships that create opportunities for new member growth and account acquisition.

Responsible for cultivating relationships with key decision makers, resulting in the addition of the credit union to their employee benefits packages to offer financial solutions to their employees. A secondary requirement of this position is to interface with PAHO to strengthen the relationship and add financial value to their employees. It is required that goals are met in the areas of prospecting, enhancing existing relationships, and new account acquisition.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of outside business to business sales experience.
  • Financial institution experience preferred, but not required.

Extensive local travel within DC area and some travel outside USA 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish with effective oral and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Highly motivated. Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the organization.
