With branch locations in Annapolis, Bowie, Columbia, Greenbelt, and surrounding areas, Assistant Branch Managers are a supporting member of the Branch Management Team. 

Branch hours vary from branch to branch. 
Branches are open Monday thru Friday.  Some branch locations are open on Saturdays from 9:00 to 1:00.
Branch Managers may be assigned to other branch locations on Saturdays on an as needed basis.

Shares responsibility for the operation of the branch and in the Branch Manager’s absence, has overall responsibility for the branch.
Has a complete knowledge of Credit Union procedure and policy and applies this knowledge in the operation and supervision of the branch and its employees.
Responsible for the total quality member experience through teaching, coaching, and technical development of branch staff.
Has ability to perform all branch duties and functions such as; Head Teller, MSA I thru MSA V, ATM support etc. Assists other branches/departments in person or remotely in order to meet the business needs of the Credit Union.
May be assigned to support Corporate Projects as well as lead and/or support Departmental Projects.
Assistant Branch Manager IIs & IIIs may be assigned support functions for daily deposit and Call Center operations, including compliance, funding and reconciliation of new accounts, and daily General Ledger settlements.


Associate's degree (A.A.) is preferred with one to two years related experience. 
Assistant Branch Managers that are promoted from within will typically begin at the Assistant Branch Manager I level. 
Assistant Branch Manager levels II and III require: additional experience, such as directing larger staffs, higher traffic volumes, more
complex branch service operations, or handling operational support duties, etc.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with business owners, decision makers and staff of our current and potential SEGs. Proactively develop and implement strategies and activities to promote membership growth and product penetration. The person in this position should exhibit high energy and passion in promoting and representing the credit union brand both internally and externally.
Essential Job Functions:
• Display energy and passion while cultivating relationships with new and existing SEGs (Select Employee Groups), members and staff. Develop and manage a database of SEG contacts.
• Work with ad agency to advance CU objectives. Promote membership growth and product penetration.
• Work with ad agency to build a marketing calendar for planned promotions and SEG presentations.
• Plan and assist with credit union events, such as SEG events, annual meeting, planning meeting, lunch and learn, as well as community, charitable, and other events.
• Organize regular recognition for our SEGs.
• Regularly visit and maintain communication with our branches and local and non-local SEGs.
• Conduct enrollments in all branches to sign up new members and promote our products and services.
• Communicate our brand through email, social media, newsletters (member and employee) and other marketing resources.
• Provide monthly documentation of activity, results to goals and business partner activities.
• Responsible for compliance with rules and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven sales skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Member/Customer service, meeting Member Service Standards and Core Values.
• Able to travel and work irregular hours at times.
