Chief Financial Officer

The CFO is responsible for the management of the day-to-day financial activities of the Credit Union.

OAS FCU, a 240 Million multicultural and diverse Federal Credit Union is looking for a seasoned and innovative Chief Financial Officer. The CFO serves as the head of the Financial Management team. As such, S/he is responsible for the management of the day-to-day financial activities of the Credit Union, including budgeting, financial statements and reports, and investments. S/he serves as the senior staff member in providing the CEO and the BOD technical advice on meeting mandates of the Credit Union related to the management of financial resources. The CFO routinely evaluates and analyzes market and financial trends and recommends strategies and solutions to Management and the BOD.

• Over ten recent years of extensive and demonstrated experience in accounting/auditing/budget/forecasting and other financial management tools with increasing levels of complexity and responsibilities.
• Experience providing both depth and breadth of knowledge of fully automated and integrated accounting and financial management systems.
• Several years in public accounting with demonstrated experience in financial institutions and/or non-profit accounting. Extensive experience in financial reporting; both in designing and developing financial reporting systems and in the management of data for compliance with reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in Cash and Investment portfolio management
• Able the work in a multicultural, diverse and service-oriented environment (Spanish, a plus)

• A university degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis in accounting, budgeting and planning requiered. A professionally recognized certification (or qualification) such as a CPA, CMA or an advanced university preferred
