The Card Services Specialist is responsible for administration of the Visa Credit and Debit card programs.

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Position Summary:
The Card Services Specialist is responsible for administration of the Visa Credit and Debit card programs. The Card Service Specialist will handle card processing, report balances, and fraud and dispute services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effectively administrate the Visa Credit and Debit card programs ensuring compliance with all rules, regulations, credit union policies and procedures.
• On a daily basis review ATM reports and process settlement exception reports, post adjustments to member accounts or to the appropriate general ledgers.
• Process chargebacks of NSF transactions.
• Responsible for processing and tracking chargeback disputes and fraudulent transactions on credit and debit cards via Jack Henry as well as CUNA insurance.
• Research, correct and post general ledger entries.
• Respond and resolve member card issues internally and externally.
• Process Verafin fraud alerts for BSA compliance.
• Process requests for pin changes, replacement cards, travel advisories, and name and address changes in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ordering, maintaining and updating card inventory.
• Assist members with any and all inquiries or transactions.
• Processes cash advances on Visa Credit cards.
• Review and process daily Fraud Alert notification reports and CAMS Alerts.
• Keep current on changes with Visa and Jack Henry.
• Responsible for training backup staff.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience supporting card services operations
• Experienced with Jack Henry preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Word
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Must be self-motivated and energetic
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
