Summary:
Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union is in search of a talented Chief Operating Officer to join the team and provide exceptional member service through a variety of delivery channels, branches and Call Center.  The ideal candidate must have a strategic vision with the ability to identify and establish sales goals to enhance the product penetration within the Credit Union’s membership base, while providing added value and excellent member service.  Must bring a collaborative and motivational leadership style as well as experience in executing business plans to generate top performers within the areas of responsibility. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will be a part of a dynamic management team and assist in the formulation, development, implementation, and administration of the credit union’s policies and short term and long-term business objectives. This position will be responsible for the day to day operations running smoothly, effectively, and efficiently. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directs activities of the departments for which responsible, in accordance with Credit Union policy and objectives; ensures availability of competent, qualified personnel for key positions within the Credit Union.
• Assists the President/CEO in preparing short-term and long-range plans; establishes a budget of operations and ensures that budgeted goals are achieved, and cost objectives are met.
• Ensures sound services and working relationships with governmental bodies, key staff of important vendors, with outside services, and with the general public. 
• Formulates and recommends operating policies and objectives or changes in existing policies and objectives; ensures compliance with and implementation of approved policies and objectives.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
 
Education and/or Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least five to ten years of related experience with proven leadership as an executive or senior leader in a financial institution is required; Master’s degree preferred.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
