Job Description:
Process ACH and EFT exception transactions by posting or returning the transactions
Process share draft exceptions (maintaining deadlines) by clearing or returning the item
Completes ACH and share draft unauthorized returns and stop payments to member's accounts
Removes funds from member accounts in response to notices of returned deposited checks and notifies members of action taken
Processes official check and money order sales
Reconciles and posts credit card payments to cardholder accounts by balancing daily teller work to general ledger accounts
Balances ATM machine records
Process wire transfers by sending and receiving domestic and international wire transfers

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week. Workdays include a one hour unpaid lunch break. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. 

Working Conditions and Work Schedule
Duties are performed in a professional office environment. Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, working from an alternate Credit Union branch, working before and/or after business hours, working on Saturdays and working hours exceeding the standard work schedule.

Travel
The ability to travel occasionally between Credit Union branches is required. The ability to travel occasionally within the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area to attend meetings, training programs, or to conduct other business is also required. 

Minimum Required Education
The position requires a diploma from a public or accredited private high school. A high school equivalency diploma (GED) may be substituted for the required education.

Minimum Required Experience
This position requires one year experience in the financial services industry. Education at an accredited college or university in a field of study related to the required experience may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Thirty credit hours of education are equivalent to one year of experience.

Additional Requirements
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment credit check and criminal background check, as well as post-employment periodic criminal background checks, as a condition of employment.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and practices
Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations pertaining to the credit union industry
Knowledge of EFT systems, including the ACH network, it's operation, participants, settlement and posting mechanisms, and ACH transaction flow
Knowledge of Federal Reserve check processing system
Make arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages
Reconcile accounts, records, reports and journals

This job requires the incumbent to frequently remain in a stationary position and requires the occasional moving about the office and occasional moving of items typically weighing 25 pounds or less. This job requires the occasional positioning of oneself to items near the floor for filing or retrieval of various items. The ability to communicate with others in person and by telephone is required. Must be able to operate a computer and keyboard and other machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, facsimile machine, and computer printer. Must be able to inspect and/or observe documents, computer screens, reports, and similar communication.
