Summary of Functions
Manage and lead the Business Development team for the purpose of acquiring and engaging Select Employer Groups to grow the Credit Union membership. Work with the VP/Chief Marketing Officer to execute strategies in support of the organization’s Marketing Plan and Strategic Plan Scorecard.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
• Experience as a Business Development Manager or similar sales/marketing role for at least 3-5 years
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge and experience with social media platforms
• Excellent leadership skills
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Excellent command of MS Office and Business Development/Sales CRM software
• Well-developed planning and time management skills
• Comfortable in a client/member-facing role
• Knowledgeable of all First Financial products and services
• Work events before/after standard business hours and on weekends.
• Support of the Core 4 values of the Credit Union
• Adheres to regulations and organizational policies, maintaining awareness and knowledge required to perform the duties of the position including all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, and Information Security.

Specific Responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy and Execution
• Plan, develop and oversee the overall business development strategy
• Research prospective businesses in targeted markets, and work with BD team to pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
• Develop contact lists of potential new SEGs and members in the credit union’s field of membership.
• Develop sales and onboarding strategy for new SEG development
• Work with business units within organization, including Branch Managers and staff, to create FFFCU brand ambassadors in support of new business development initiatives
• Collaborate with design and communications team to develop relevant and engaging collateral to attract potential SEGs and ensure alignment with organizational brand
• Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives related to new business development
• Research organizations and individuals for new business opportunities
• Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on financial service competitors
• Oversee management of existing SEG partnerships and develop strategies to increase overall penetration and engagement
• Attend various meetings in the community and/or trade associations to develop new business prospects and promote the credit union
• Make presentations on financial services to groups to promote credit union products

Staff Management and Reporting
• Manage CRM system for business development sales cycle monitoring and tracking
• Provide regular reporting metrics on all aspects of BD team functions and communication channels
• Manage, train and enhance skills of business development team
