Consumer Loan Support Representative

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs basic clerical tasks related to members' inquires, including but not limited to: managing faxes, answering phones, distributing mail, scanning documents, and monitoring emails to support the Consumer Lending Fulfillment unit. Input and update consumer vehicle loan data into LOS for document preparations. Contacts members in various stages of the loan process, including initial decision and follow up contacts to increase loan funding ratio.

Assists Car Dealerships, Branches, Call Center, Operations Department and member's directly with routine loan processing questions, loan products and services. Accurately and efficiently assist members and co-workers with inquiries regarding consumer loan products.

Performs loan adjustments and processes supporting paperwork. Acts as a backup when needed for the loan funding function. Inputs and updates loan data in the core computer system and/or loan system following MECU procedures. When talking to members, looks for opportunities to cross sell products to meet members' needs.

Requirements:
High School Diploma Required; General education degree (GED) in lieu of High School diploma; Six months to one year Financial Services Preferred

Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic arithmetic skills, knowledge of operational procedures, practices, and policies.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products including but not limited to : Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.

Some Saturday hours required and occasionally an evening shift.
