Loan Servicing Specialist

This position is responsible for providing a wide variety of loan servicing and administration activities.

Maryland - Full-Time (Towson)

Essential Functions:
1. Provides professional, prompt, and courteous service to members and Credit Union staff.
2. Actively sells Credit Union products and services based on member needs.
3. Assist in the preparation of real estate settlements
4. Facilitate loan disbursal by printing documents and checks
5. Review loan documentation to ensure all documents meet market guidelines
6. Maintain escrow accounts by performing periodic analysis
7. Obtain proper insurance documentation on collateral loans
8. Post premium payments and refunds for insurance programs to members' loans and balance the associated general ledger accounts
9. Prepare verification and payoff letters
10. Provide clerical support including filing, copying, updating loan files, and generating collateral release letters
11. Serve as Loan Department Receptionist when needed
12. Maintains knowledge of the features and benefits of all Credit Union products and services.
13. Complies with all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.


 Work Schedule & Branch:
The primary location for this position is in Towson, Maryland. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Employees in this position must be available to work between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday) and 8:00 am and 5:00 pm or 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (Thursday). This position also requires employees to be available to work on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Perry Hall branch on a rotating basis. Please note that responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule or working at any Credit Union branch. Employees may also be required to travel within the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area to attend meetings, training programs, or to conduct other business.
