Rotating Assistant Branch Manager

The Assistant Branch Manager – Rotating will assist the Branch Managers to ensure the efficient operation of the branch.

Position Summary: 
Coach staff to optimum performance by providing guidance and supervision to Tellers and MSRs as needed so that the staff is performing their duties and tasks properly and on a timely basis. Conveys a feeling of trust, service, security to members and staff.

Ensures that staff is maintaining member loyalty while abiding by MECU policies and procedures. Complies with all state, federal and NCUA regulations. Must be proficient in overseeing the Teller and Platform functions as well as decision loans. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Acts as a backup MSR when needed.
Must be flexible and willing to assist when needed. Must be developmentally ready to assume Director role after minimum six (6) months in the position.

Requirements:
Associates degree in Business required; or a minimum of two (2) years of previous Assistant Branch Manager experience.
Minimum experience required:
• Five (5) years Member Service
• Three (3) years Supervisory/Coaching
• Three (3) years Effective Decision Making

Additional Experience Information
Teller and MSR II experience, which involves extensive loan knowledge or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certification
Obtain/or maintain Notary Commission
Maryland Lending Certification required within three (3) years.
• First module within first year in the position
• Modules 2&3 within the second year
• Modules 4&5 with in the third year

Saturday hours required along with some flexibility in daily work schedules depending on branch assignment. Transportation to various locations throughout the City/County of Baltimore required.
