We are looking for innovative and dynamic professionals with a passion for exceptional service to join our Risk and Compliance team as a Compliance Specialist.

Responsibilities: To help SECU become known, valued and utilized. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

Assisting the Compliance Manager with the oversight of the corporate compliance and vendor management programs and works to ensure the credit union remains in compliance with all regulations, mitigates potential liabilities and helps to avoid penalties, sanctions or other legal action.

In this role, you will provide daily compliance advice and guidance to credit union departments and branches. You will review powers of attorney and other legal documents in accordance with our established procedures. You will use your excellent communication skills to respond to compliance inquiries within established service levels to maintain operational excellence.

As SECU’s Compliance Specialist you will perform compliance monitoring of various departments to assure compliance with applicable regulations, established policies and procedures. We will look to you to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and recommend changes to ensure ongoing compliance. 

The Compliance Specialist will also administratively facilitate the identification, measurement, monitoring, and controlling of the inherent risks associated with all vendors or other third party suppliers that provide expertise, products, services, or technology solutions to the credit union.

You will be responsible for the day to day administration of the vendor management program and systems and we will look to you as the subject matter expert as you will own the utilization and management of vendor management systems.

Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years prior experience in a regulatory compliance role at a financial institution, trade association or law firm. 
You also must possess or obtain CUCE or NCCO compliance certification.
