Job Summary
This position is responsible for conduct/assist in the completion of planned internal audits, internal audit service requests, the annual year-end audit, NCUA examination, and special projects. Review, evaluate, and make recommendations to enhance controls and, streamline credit union operations, and reduce costs. Investigate and respond to all NCUA, SC Chairperson and IntegrityLine complaints. These responsibilities are done within all Credit Union policies and procedures as well as all applicable laws and regulations. All Securityplus employees are expected to be ambassadors of the Credit Union delivering excellent intradepartmental and member service, while promoting the Credit Union and cross-selling its products and services.

Duties and Essential Job Functions
• Participates in internal audits assigned by Internal Audit Manager; year-end financial statement audit conducted by external auditors; and the NCUA examination.
• Perform the duties of the SC Secretary position which include: prepare SC meeting agenda, SC Action Item report, SC meeting minutes, SC monthly report to the BOD, maintain SC member attendance records. Set up conference call/room for meetings.
• Attend credit union required training or meetings and other training required to maintain earned certifications
• Conduct the annual member account confirmation and follow-up
• Investigate and respond to NCUA, SC Chairperson, and IntegrityLine complaints.
• Investigate large (generally >$500) teller outages
• Participate in the annual SC planning meeting and the development of the annual audit plan.
• Prepare annual SC report that is included in the Credit Union's annual report
• Review loan exceptions
• Branch cash counts
• Employee fraud investigations
• Performs other duties as instructed or assigned by your Supervisor.

Education
Related Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree a plus.

Experience
Knowledge of auditing, accounting, business, and regulations related to financial institutions. A minimum of 2 years audit experience a plus.

Computer
Should possess extensive experience working with Microsoft Windows and all Microsoft Office products. Should be familiar with and have strong experience with network communication systems, functions, and protocols (mostly TCP/IP). Financial institution experience is desirable.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position involves typical office work such as the use of the PC, reviewing manuals and related office papers, the use of the telephone, fax, printer, scanner, and photocopy machines. The duties of this job require the employee to walk, sit and/or stand (the duration will vary based on the position); reach; talk; and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
