Under direction and supervision of the COO, this position is responsible for carrying out the objectives of the Marketing Program for the Credit Union, with regards to maintaining and growing membership of existing and potential SEGs. This position also includes Front Desk Duties and Back Office projects. Team work is essential.
SEG Group Liaison
• Liaison with all existing SEGs, develop contacts with leaders and support staff to encourage maximum member saturation.
• Contact potential SEG organizations to initiate sponsor membership requests.
• Have a working knowledge of in-house computer protocols for opening new accounts and providing basic financial services to offsite CU locations.
• Submit suggestions of promotions, promotional items and services that could best serve our members and potential members.
• Assist with activities related to the membership and events centered in the local community.
• Contact new SEG groups, and conduct presentations to new and existing groups.
• Participate in SEG staff orientations and onboardings.
• Keep records of expenses related to mileage, give-a-ways and other promotional expenses.
• Present ideas for new services and improving existing services to the COO.
• Must be bi-lingual with a fluency (speak, read and write) in Spanish and English.

Teller and Customer Service (at least one day per week)
• Receive and keep up to date with yearly BSA training.
• Greet members and potential members courteously and professionally on the phone and in the office.
• Process member requests for but not limited to: account withdrawals, loans, deposits, transfers, inquiries, etc.
• Other Front Desk duties may include but not be limited to:
- Receive daily mail and process to appropriate destinations
- Process loan payments and payoffs.
- Assist new members to open new accounts.
- Prepare and balance deposits.
- Complete end of day balance sheet.
Back office Assistant (at least one day per week)
• Document scanning which will include: closed loan files, membership files and share draft files
• Assist CEO or COO with other projects as required.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; internet software and database software.
Physical Demands:
- sit or stand for long periods of time.

- Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Reliable transportation to travel as needed:
- Applicant will need to use their personal vehicle to travel to schools and potential SEGs within the county.
- Mileage at current government rate is covered by Credit Union.
- Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Performs a variety of clerical tasks such as opening accounts for new membership for the funding of loans. Specific qualifications for the role include

High School Diploma is required; Two (2) to three (3) years Lending experience preferred.
Knowledge of Regulatory Guidelines regarding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Demonstrated mathematical and analytical skills a must.
Proficient in computer applications with accurate typing and filing skills.
Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing work situations.
Extensive knowledge of fundamentals of Consumer servicing required.
