The BSA Officer manages all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act compliance program.

Patriot Federal Credit Union, located in Franklin County Pennsylvania and Washington County Maryland, has an opening for a BSA Officer. The BSA Officer manages all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act compliance program, and assists with various assignments supporting the compliance program of Patriot Federal Credit Union, under the guidance of the Compliance Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs various reviews and monitoring in the area of Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Customer Identification Program compliance using industry standards and Regulator guidance; ensures compliance efforts are maintained on a daily basis.
• Monitors changes in laws, regulations, and trends. Maintains files and shares information to the appropriate departments.
• Responsible for managing the Credit Union’s BSA compliance programs. Monitors compliance with BSA Rules and Regulations.
• Reviews reports associated with BSA; investigates cases produced by BSA software and decides on further action as appropriate. Identifies suspicious activity (Red Flags) in the review process; reviews documentation for certain high-risk accounts.
• Advises Compliance Manager of emerging compliance issues; consults and guides Credit Union personnel in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.
• Develops and implements the BSA training program for all staff.
• Develops and implements forms, notices, procedures and monitoring processes for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and related regulations.
• Monitors New Account Risk profiles; assists Credit Union personnel to correct issues.
• Researches and completes all BSA reporting within appropriate time frames.

Expectations:
• Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Performs BSA and OFAC Officer duties; is responsible for ensuring the Credit Union is in compliance with all related regulations and coordination of the Credit Union’s BSA program.
• Ensures the Credit Union develops and adheres to a systematic and routinely updated compliance program.
• Ensures the Credit Union is in compliance with all applicable regulatory and Patriot-specific policy guidelines and requirements.
• Ensures documentation used in daily work processing is accurate and kept up-to-date with regulatory changes.
• Ensures staff is adequately trained in a timely manner on all aspects of regulatory compliance.
• Communicates all applicable BSA/OFAC issues and concerns to the Compliance Manager and applicable departments; ensures all issues are addressed.
