Job Duties:
To help employees, members and/or new clients by assessing their financial goals, needs and objectives while providing them with exceptional personalized service and investment products. Must have a working knowledge of products offered by competitors.

Responsibilities:
• Identifies and evaluates member’s needs for financial services, assesses the objectives and goals of the individual, then develops an investment strategy to implement.
• Analyzes client financial information (including assets, income, debts and other liabilities, cash flow, and tax status), investment objectives and goals and determines which financial products best meet individual member’s needs and financial circumstances. This includes comparing and evaluating possible investment options for individual clients, identifying investment strategies and potential investments based on market conditions and clients’ particular circumstances, and assessing the timing of investments by analyzing market conditions to determine the optimum times to conduct securities transactions for clients.
• Uses an approved profile form to collect client financial information (including assets, income, debts and other liabilities, cash flow, risk tolerance, time horizon, and tax status), investment objectives and goals.
• Advises members regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different financial products.
• Services and performs periodic reviews of existing client accounts and meets with clients periodically to review and update client needs ensuring investment objectives and goals are progressing according to plan. Meetings to take place either monthly, quarterly and/or yearly depending on client needs established by Financial Advisor and Client.
• Stays current and analyzes market conditions and remains knowledgeable about financial and investment vehicles in the market and the tax and securities consequences to clients of particular investments. Attends training and/or completes required continuing education and keeps current on investment products and services offered. Meets regularly with VP of Apple Financial Services LLC and trains, if necessary, with Vice President.
• Drives investment and program integration initiatives with credit union (includes branch personnel training). Provides regular feedback to the branch employees, works with Branch Managers to identify and leverage cross-sell opportunities.
• Mentors and supports the success of the licensed MSR III program.
• Supports all product and campaign launches. Markets, services, and promotes, CFS’s financial services and products, including prospecting new clients through marketing, call outs, etc, and scheduling appointments.
• Remains visible to the appropriate segments of the public in order to meet and to retain potential new clients for CFS, including conducting client workshops/seminars on various topics (i.e. Social Security, Education planning, Retirement planning, etc.)
• Initiates the purchase or sale of financial products, including executing the transactions that result from their financial advice and related sales. Follows through on the sales goals set forth by the VP, Apple Financial Services. Meets or exceeds activity and production goals as outlined in Business Plan.
• Develops/updates quarterly business plan with VP, Apple Financial Services LLC.
• Identifies and develops relationships with product wholesalers.
• Follows the rules and regulations set forth by the credit union, FINRA, SEC and the broker/dealer.
• Represents Apple Financial Services LLC in relationships with major clients, industry organizations, regulatory bodies, and other key outside parties.
• Sets and keeps consistent office hours at designated branches.
• Supports organization mission and corporate values.
• Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Performs other related Financial Advisor duties as assigned by the Vice President of Apple Services.

***This job has no supervisory responsibilities. However, this position may be assigned a sales assistant and/or partner with licensed Member Service Representative IIIs and would then be responsible to mentor and oversee basic daily duties in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws when doing so.

Qualifications-all required unless otherwise noted:
• In addition to the required FINRA Licensing requirements (Series 7 licenses, and Series 65 or 66 licensed, must also have an active life insurance license and three to five years investment sales experience.
• Must have in-depth investment knowledge, exceptional sales skills, ability to independently utilize judgment, and make sound business decisions.
• Strong presentation skills along with a strong work ethic are also required.
• Previous experience working in credit union or community bank environment preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone, etc.
• Limited travel required.
