Job Duties:
Under general supervision, manages projects while actively contributing to the establishment of organizational project management maturity. Serves as an internal champion and proficient operator of the project management information system, and a subject matter expert for planning, communication, tactical decision-making, change management, and project risk management.

Responsibilities:
Project Management
• Manages projects in accordance with the project management framework (routines, tools and requirements) established by the Project Management Office (PMO) and based primarily on the practices compiled by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
• Builds professional and mutually respectful relationships with credit union stakeholders (staff and management team) to encourage collaboration.
• Plans and implements corrective actions for projects not meeting schedule, budget or scope.
• Contributes to the establishment of effective and reusable tools and techniques for managing projects.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• For professional development, maintains PMP certification and communicates to the Director of Project Management about best practices and trends in financial services and project management.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Inspire Promoters, Challenge Yourself and Own It.
• Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Performs other special projects, research and analysis as assigned by the PMO Director

Qualifications-all required unless otherwise noted:
Required: Active certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI); either the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or the Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)
Required: Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent) with at least five years of experience managing projects or a BA/BS degree with at least three years of experience managing projects.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills including diplomacy, facilitation and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
• Must have the ability to manage technical and organizational projects in a fast-paced environment and be able to switch priorities rapidly.
• Must have demonstrated ability to independently research, develop and/or implement projects across an enterprise level and deliver within established scope, schedule and budget.
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Windows personal computer proficiency, including expertise with databases, web-based applications Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Ability to function in a financial institution office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc.
• Satisfactory credit and ability to pass a background check required.
