The primary role of this position is to assist Northwest Federal Credit Union to live out our vision to be the lifetime financial partner for our member-owners. One of the primary means to achieve this end is to develop a highly effective team of employees and develop each employee to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. This position is responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members. A key component of this service to external members is to ensure each employee identifies members’ financial needs and suggests appropriate Credit Union solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives initial 1st mortgage closing package from the closing agent
- Reconcile funds from the closing agent
- Verify that the loan documents match the servicing core system (FICS)-
- Set up the promissory note file
- Put the file in order for the final post-closing audit
- Act as the liaison between closer and member for any corrections
- Post close and audit all fixed home equity and home equity line of credit files
- Prepare the equity documents for recordation and send to FACT
- Monitor return of recorded documents and follow up with title companies
- Process mortgage loan adjustments in CU core system (Episys)
- Process payments in CU core system (Episys)
- Answer telephone inquiries from the loan servicing phone queue for account and mortgage loan information
- Maintain mortgage auto transfers
- Prepare all first mortgage loan files for third party audits

Education and/or Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in either Mortgage Lending or Loan Servicing and a thorough knowledge and concern for security is required.

Skills:
Knowledge of legal documents required for mortgage loans.  Knowledge of FICS Mortgage Servicer, Symitar Episys and MortgageBot.
