At the federal level, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Agriculture announced last week that they will expand and extend foreclosure relief programs through June 30, 2021. Up to six months of additional forbearance is being offered to those who applied for forbearance on or before June 30, 2020.

Earlier this month, the Federal Housing Finance Agency extended forbearance by three months for borrowers coming to the end of their forbearance period.
