DC Extends Moratorium on Foreclosures

The DC Council voted last week to give Mayor Muriel Bowser permission to extend the city’s public health emergency through January 7.

Lawmakers also extended DC’s moratorium on foreclosures from November 5 to February 4.

The move gives the city more time to access federal programs to support DC’s coronavirus response. According to officials, there is still $50 million in federal housing aid to be distributed to DC homeowners.
