Association Hosts Small-Asset Size CU Roundtable

The Association hosted a small-asset size CU Roundtable last week focusing on various methods of collaboration.

bredehoft headshot 280x210Speakers included: Jeff Goff, CEO of WSSC FCU; Bruce Jolly, Partner at Reed & Jolly, PLLC; John Parsons, Sr. Partner & Founder at Cooperative Strategies, Brian Vittek, President & CEO of Destinations CU: and Mike Mulvey, Associate Attorney with Messick, Lauer & Smith, LLC.. JefF Goff served as moderator, while Mike Mulvey and Brian Vittek spoke about CUSOs, how to collaborate to start a CUSO and the benefits of participating in them. John Parsons and Bruce Jolly spoke about Mergers as a Plan B. They explained that while the main goal is for small asset-size CUs to continue to grow and thrive, it is important to a credit union’s strategic plan to examine the possibility of a merger. The meeting wrapped up with a roundtable discussion where topics included COVID protocols in the workplace, employee recruitment, and examinations.
