NASA Federal Credit Union CEO Allman Named Professional of the Year

The MD|DC Credit Union Association recognizes Doug Allman for outstanding leadership.

NASA FCU CEO Allman Prof of the Year CROPPEDThe MD|DC Credit Union Association has named NASA Federal Credit Union President and CEO Doug Allman as the 2019 Professional of the Year. The award was presented during the Association’s Annual Meeting & Convention in Ocean City, Md.

Allman has served as CEO for 28 years, steering the credit union to significant growth and increasing its presence in the community. Under his leadership, membership has tripled, and assets have reached $2.8 billion. Through the introduction of innovative mortgage products, Allman expanded NASA FCU’s mortgage department, which grew so dramatically it was moved to a separate building.

Community outreach has also grown under Allman’s leadership. NASA FCU supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Run and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Light the Night Walk.

A respected industry leader, Allman is chairman of the board of directors for the Credit Union Mortgage Association and is the former chairman of the board of CO-OP Financial Services where he currently serves on the audit committee.

The Professional of the Year Award is presented to an individual who possesses outstanding leadership qualities and has made significant contributions to the growth and well-being of their credit union and the credit union movement.
