AACUC Annual Conference a Success with Strong Support from Local Credit Unions

The MD|DC Credit Union Association and credit union leaders from the Maryland and Washington region led sessions, participated in panel discussions and were recongnized for valuable contributions.

MECU’s Adrian Johnson, who is Chair of the African American Credit Union Coalition, kicked-off the 21st Annual Conference last week saying the AACUC board wants the organization to be considered a preferred diversity, equity, and inclusion partner within the credit union system.

SECU's Ashley Beach-Reid, and Chair of the Association's Young Professionals Advisory Board, received the Chairman’s Award at the conference for her hard work and support of the organization. Former MECU CEO Bert Hash received special recognition from the AACUC's board of directors.

MD|DC CUA’s Director of Compliance, Andre Lucas, held a well-attended Bank Secrecy Act training session. MECU President and CEO John Hamilton, and Tracey Jackson, CFO of Delaware State Police FCU, both participated in panel discussions on leadership. The conference theme was, Investing in Our Future – The 8th Cooperative Principle.
