Baltimore Chapter Kicks Off the Holiday Giving Season with Ugly Sweater Contest

There was the good, the bad and the just plain ugly at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Ugly Sweater Collage 1Chapter members traded their professional attire for tacky tops decorated with sparkly Santas, snowmen in shades and decked out with tassels, pom-poms, gaudy garland -- and a wine bottle – a real “vintage” sweater.

It was all for a good cause. Attendees made a donation each time they voted for the top tackiest sweater, raising $315 for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. The chapter also presented a $500 check to the hospital from the annual Bull, Oyster and Shrimp Feast held last month.

Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, credit unions’ charity of choice and supported nationally through Credit Unions for Kids.
